Decision Support Engine

The Decision Support (clinical rules) Engine enables customers to establish and enforce clinical practices and guidelines.  This tool allows the customer to set rules on any field within the system (e.g., require selected tests, scales to be performed on patients) in order to improve clinical care, meet regulatory requirements, and achieve pay-for-performance and other financial guidelines.

CNS Single Source  - Electronic Data Capture (EDC)/EHR

CNS Single Source seamlessly integrates clinical research and clinical care to create the industry’s first Single Source EDC/EHR product. CNS Single Source simultaneously functions as a full electronic medical record (EMR) and an electronic data capture system (EDC). Our “enter once” logic results in study data and source data are the same exact data. Current EDC products do not provide this dual-functionality and result inconsistencies in data capture between the source document and the case report form (CRF), higher costs and poor efficiency.

 Features

  • Automates the design, documentation, and implementation of clinical trials. Designs the clinical trial according to the business rules of the protocol by allowing the study

  •  administrator to use “pick lists” to select common clinical trial elements (e.g., demographics, medications, side effects, scales, procedures).

  • Deploys rapidly using ASP model; User-friendly for investigative sites

  • Provides prompts and screens that follow clinical workflow and ensures capture of study-specific data

  • Enforces protocol design at the visit level through alerts to ensure all data is captured

  • Facilitates quick response to protocol amendments and redeploys revised study protocol

  • Creates ability for on-going data clean-up during the study and immediate data transfer and database lock

  • Develops Case Report Form (CRF) from source data extracts

 Benefits

  • Decreases start-up costs – ASP deployment and user friendly system requires minimal training

  • Lowers monitoring costs – reduces visits

  • Improves Quality: single entry results in less data entry errors

  • Eliminates double (or triple) entry at sites

  • Eliminates need for double entry for Pharma or CRO data management

  • Data is immediately available for trending and resolving data issues at sites

  • Enhances Decision-making

  • Data for DSMBs is available real-time for transfer to SAS and quick analysis
