Opiate Addiction Study

In the fall of 2004, the CBRTP began a large randomized clinical trial (NIDA R01) in collaboration with Dr. Marsha Linehan at the University of Washington. This study is the largest RCT to date examining Dialectical Behavior Therapy. It is also the first RCT comparing DBT with the current state-of-the-art treatment for substance use, Individual and Group Drug Counseling.

The aim of this study is to examine the efficacy of DBT in individuals who are opiate dependent and who have problems regulating their emotions.  For more information on this study, please contact our participant coordinator Jessica Tolbert 684-6720, or the project director Dr. Lorie Ritschel.
