Cognitive Abnormalities and Emotional Dysregulation in Depression

The main aim under this project is to evaluate the circuits that are activated under a variety of cognitive tasks and mood induction tasks. These studies will be extremely important in elucidating the role of medial orbital frontal cortex and the circuits elucidated above in the development of depression. Dr. McCarthy is the Director of the Brain Imaging and Analysis Center. The patients for this study will come from project 1.
