IRB Departmental Schedules and Reviewers 
The Department of Psychiatry and Behavioral Sciences currently has 3 Institutional Review Board members.   Each member is assigned to a particular [one of the three] Medical Center Review Boards, and also serves as an alternate for the other 2 boards.  While any member is allowed to review and sign a protocol application for a department investigator, a schedule has been developed to allow for a more equitable and efficient workflow.

Please take/mail/Fed-Ex your protocol application directly to the member who is scheduled as reviewer on the dates you need review.   Currently, each month is divided into 3 review periods. [See schedule below].  All members will provide a drop box at their office location(s).  It is not necessary to contact the reviewer prior to delivering the protocol unless there are specific issues you wish to discuss.  After review, the protocol will be taken directly to the Office of the Chairman, OR, you will receive a call that you may pick it up from the reviewer.  Protocol review will be completed within a week.
