The Child and Adolescent Services Assessment (CASA) Version 4.2, developed by B.J. Burns, A. Angold, K. Magruder-Habib, E.J. Costello and M.K.S. Patrick, is a parent and child interviewer-based structured instrument designed to assess the use of mental health services by children ages 8 to 17. The YAPA CASA has been revised to include adult services.

Training
Formal training is required to administer the CASA and can be accomplished in a half-day training session.
